My four months old sister keeps crying when I am sitting and carrying her. Once I stand she stops crying. What is the secret about this?

Alright I work in the library and I dealt with alot of screaming brats and babies crying very loud!!!! It was disturbing the peace. And everytime I am in a restaurant or in a quiet place like at the library, I hear crying brats crying so loud and screaming!!!!

So when I worked there today in the library, I was shelving some books and this one lame brain idiot parent was letting her baby scream and her kid just wouldnt shut up so I had to say something and so I said in a annoyed way: ‘SHHHHHHHHHHHH MAAM!!!!!!!! THIS IS A PUBLIC LIBRARY, NOT A DAYCARE CENTER! DO YOU MIND TAKING YOUR KID ELSEWHERE?!” and as much as I wanted to be nastier to her and be like: “SHUT YOUR BRAT UP STUPID A*S!”, I couldnt do that because I would lose my job for being rude but she had said to me in a rude way: “You know what, you are so pathetic!!! How dare you talk to me like that!!!!” and I said in a calmer way: “Miss, I am not trying to be rude but your kid is disturbing the peace here and if you want your kid to cry and scream, take it outside or in the CHILDRENS DEPT!” And she cussed at me which was pretty bad and said: “F*CK YOU!” And I was shocked. Then she goes and tells on me and I get told about it!

So my question is, did I have a right to tell her to have her kid shut up!! I MEAN HER DAMN BRAT WAS SCREAMING LIKE A MANIAC AND DIDNT DO ANYTHING AND IT DISTURBED EVERYONE!!!!! Was I right? or was she right by complaining that I said something?

I am not talking about three-month olds who might wake up crying because they want to be fed. I am talking about older babies, like my twelve-month old, who wakes up crying from most naps and wakes up crying several times at night even though she does not necessarily need food. Why does she cry just because she is waking up from sleep? What is so upsetting about waking up? When do most babies stop crying at wake ups?
