Why Baby Cry

why do Kids & Babies Cry after a Nap?

why babies cry
CBBS asked:

like in the afternoon, when they’re tired and cranky they go to sleep but after they wake up they’re still crying and cranky. i just don’t get it. i thought they’re suppose to be happy after a nap since they get to rest and get their energy back.
if you have kids, do your kids do this sometimes?
please explain why they do this. thank you.

Because they are babies and they can! LOL!! No, seriously, I have no idea. Mine does it too. We are at their mercies, so all we can do is just be thankful for the good times and when times get real bad, hey 17 years is not that far away.

Well kids are usally expecting fun to happen as soon as there nap is over.
And babys cry either way but you have to hold on to the baby most of the time usally the baby wants to be with his or her mom it calms them down.

usually they cry because they want to be picked up, because if they are little babies they can’t get out of bed them selfs, also their nappy might be really wet or poopy and they want it off, and sometimes they are just letting u know they are a wake. my 6 month old son sleeps all night and he only cries when he wakes up if his nappy is dirty or he is hungry.

my son does this me is 3 and it drives me crazy….now as soon as he wakes …. and he is about to start i calmly say “don’t cry, don’t cry ” over and over again and he doesn’t. if he does it’s only for a few seconds then he asks for me to hold him ..so I give him a few minutes of mommy and son time. i think they just forget where they are and when they wake they are trying to figure it out??? i have no idea, really

I’m a parent and a home day care provider and I would say it completely depends on the child. I have 2 little girls that I watch that wake up easy and fast and are ready to play. The other 3, two boys and my daughter, wake up slooooooow and need like 10 minutes to sit and be quiet before they are ready to play. I let them take their time but if they start to whine and fuss, back to bed they go for a few more minutes. Sometimes half an hour back on the nap mat, not always sleeping just being still, will do wonders for my daughter.

It could also be that their nap is not long enough or they may have gone to bed too late the night before. Lots of things that factor into the crankiness. Do you always wake up bright and cheery? I would bet not, so give the kiddos a break, we all have bad days.
